Like all llamas, the ridable llama is very stubborn and is difficult to control, even for those with some taming skill. You can only ride "a ridable llama" and no other varieties of llama. They make cute pets, and make their riders look like big oafs trying to ride a pony with their toes dragging along the ground. As with all llama varieties, they are the only 29.1 and under creature that cannot be easily commanded by a non-tamer.
