Unicorns are weaker than their "evil" cousins, the nightmare. However, they have excellent spell casting abilities. In mythology, unicorns are generally a symbol of purity and their horns used to purify water or cure poisons. Only female characters can tame or ride them. They also possess a special ability to cure its rider when she drops to 40 health and is immune to poison. There is roughly a one hour delay in its usage. You cannot tame this creature while polymorphed. Unicorns tamed prior to publish 14 (Nov/Dec 2001) will eat meat. All new unicorns will eat fruits, vegetables, and hay.
